I am originally from Nor Cal – Berkeley to be exact, where my Dad still teaches at Cal today. I went to college at UCLA, so I’m a big Pac -10 fan. Originally, Cali Party Bus was “The Cali Experience” – the very first hop-on hop-off backpacker bus taking internationals from hostel to hostel throughout California. The demand just wasn’t there, so when it didn’t pan out, we moved into the emerging Party Bus industry and our brand took off. Being from the Bay Area and living in LA for 5 years during college, San Diego was the only major city in California I had never lived in. I wanted to try something new, and I moved here in 2006.
On a personal level, I would say I am most influenced by my parents and my older sister. I know it’s sappy, but they are incredible people who have instilled a dangerously addictive work ethic and high moral integrity that I am extremely proud off. In the local industry, I respect strong entrepreneurs who stop at nothing to turn their vision into a reality. James Brennan and Dave Renzella, to name a few.
I just got back from an epic trip to Jamaica with my amazing girlfriend Michelle Guerin of DiscoverSD.com
. We got our drank on down by the beach mon! Business wise we just started our ongoing partnership with the Susan G Komen
Foundation in creating the all new Pink Party Bus. It’s a one of kind all-pink bus and 5% of all revenue is donated back to the Foundation. We are definitely partying for a cause and doing what we can do educate our clientele. Also, we have the all new Hard Rock Intervention Bus Wrap coming out in April 2011, so be sure to hop on the bus this summer and check it out.
We apply a lot of innovative technology that you see in the big nightclubs to our vehicle designs, which puts us consistently ahead of the industry curve. Since we build all our vehicles ourselves it allows us creative freedom to consistently push the envelope of what’s possible inside a moving vehicle. That’s a constant challenge that I love about my business, and the sky is the limit as to what we will build next. Any suggestions?
Right now we are building one the largest party buses in America. It’s 45 feet long and can hold up to 60 people. It’s going to be a beautiful coach and we are really excited to get all of San Diego on board to experience it first-hand. We also just launched our brand new website, calipartybus.com
, with tons of new features like Facebook and Twitter integration, so you can instantly share your favorite party bus photos and videos with all of your friends.
